CATTLE
Along with everywhere else, cattle still flying in Hull, very little if anything in the store ring that could have been killed today but plenty of farmers about with plenty of money to spend after selling prime cattle to serious money, including a number of new or returning faces in recent weeks. Leading the way was a trio of superb Limousin Steers from Turner Bros, East Halton, realising £1,850. Calves even better than that, if that’s possible! A six week old Blue Bull from E W & S Varley of Seaton to £660 making unbelievable money but not even top of the tree, with that accolade today going to A Oxtoby & Son, Bishop Burton, selling another Blue Bull for £690! All in Bull calves today averaged £609!
