With a long standing association with auctions and livestock markets in East Yorkshire and further afield we continue to offer this traditional and competitive approach to selling always intent on maximising value for our clients.

We operate the only remaining livestock market in East Yorkshire from our livestock market at Dunswell between Beverley and Hull selling prime and store stock. With fat and cull sheep and pigs every Monday starting at 10.30am and store cattle, sheep and pigs fortnightly. With 3 experienced auctioneers, mobile office and dedicated office team we can advise you on your sale and will set up, undertake and sell your goods for you after full marketing. If you have a small number of items to sell one of our regular collective sales either monthly at the Cattle Market or one of our 5 sales a year at our sale ground at Winestead will be able to accommodate you. Hull Livestock Market – 9th June 2025 – Fatstock Market

Forward – 60 head of stock including 29 Sheep and 31 Pigs.

PIGS
Sows slightly stronger again when compared to last week, with some lean sorts about today but the average still up slightly on the week. A light show of pigs this week but a good week for it, with Mounfields closed for renovations many of the butchers were absent, but expected back next week.

Bacon Gilts to 180p/kg and £198.00, average 180.0p/kg.
Heavy Gilts to 83p/kg and £130.31, average 83.0p/kg.

Cull Sows to 62p/kg and £185.38, average 59.0p/kg.

SHEEP
Less sheep around on the Fat Market this week, with Mounfields being closed some chose to save lambs a week but the few forward seeing a straight trade, market topped by D W Kirby & Son, Rise for a pen of three smart Texel X lambs.

Spring Lambs
Mediums to 321p/kg and £140, average 314.7p/kg.
Heavies to 310.4p/kg and £149, average 310.4p/kg.

Medium Hogg to 240p/kg and £103.

Feeding Ewes to £102, average £79.00.
