Hull Livestock Market – 9th February 2026 – Fatstock Market
Forward – 53 head of stock including 4 Sheep and 49 Pigs.
PIGS
Another good showing of pigs through the market yesterday off the back of last week. Best trade yesterday was from C F Buckton & Son, Rise seeing both the top p/kg and per head with a fit pork weight gilt and a strong pen of overweight hogs respectively, both purchased by AJ Livestock, Hotham. Pig trade generally on the decline, with the massive oversupply on the continent now spilling into the domestic market and further hampering prices. But prices in hull today, definitely stronger than we have seen recently.
Porker Pigs to 120p/kg and £102.60, average 107.1p/kg
Overweight Pigs to 100p/kg and £127, average 100p/kg
Heavy Gilts to 61p/kg and £78.54, average 35.6p/kg
Cull Sows to 30p/kg and £95.06, average 28.2p/kg.
SHEEP
Small show of sheep again on the fat market with a couple of pens of feeding ewes on offer. Vendors, please note sheep are easier to market on the store market weeks
Feeding Ewes to £92, average £77.50.
