With a long standing association with auctions and livestock markets in East Yorkshire and further afield we continue to offer this traditional and competitive approach to selling always intent on maximising value for our clients.

We operate the only remaining livestock market in East Yorkshire from our livestock market at Dunswell between Beverley and Hull selling prime and store stock. With fat and cull sheep and pigs every Monday starting at 10.30am and store cattle, sheep and pigs fortnightly. With 3 experienced auctioneers, mobile office and dedicated office team we can advise you on your sale and will set up, undertake and sell your goods for you after full marketing. If you have a small number of items to sell one of our regular collective sales either monthly at the Cattle Market or one of our 5 sales a year at our sale ground at Winestead will be able to accommodate you. Hull Livestock Market – 8th September 2025 – Fatstock Market

Forward – 171 head of stock including, 123 Sheep and 48 Pigs

PIGS
A continued strong showing of sows this week from a number of vendors, with top p/kg touching 60p/kg the highest price for a number of weeks. Demonstrating the quality of some of the sows on show yesterday. A good strong run of heavy gilts with top price almost at the £200 mark. Trade reflective of the past couple of weeks, with buyers not afraid to pay for higher quality stock on show.

Heavy Gilts to 162p/kg and £196.50, average 134.6p/kg
Cull Sows to 60p/kg and £174.72, average 54.2p/kg.

SHEEP
A decent show of store lambs and feeding ewes this week as has been seen previously even on fat markets at this time of year. Running as a green market this is workable but if you are planning on bringing any please let us know so we can make buyers aware.

Feeding Ewes to £94, average £62.62.
Store Lambs to £126, average £99.37.
