Forward – 334 head of stock including 33 Cattle, 267 Sheep and 34 Pigs.
PIGS
A smaller number of pigs forward this week. Sows as has become commonplace continue to show a healthy trade with prices reaching 60p/kg or £161/head.
Bacon Pigs to 118p/kg and £132.16.
Overweight Pigs 156p/kg and £194.22.
Heavy Gilts to 121p/kg and £176, average 109.2p/kg.
Cull Sows to 60p/kg and £161, average 51.9p/kg.
SHEEP
A great showing within Store and Prime Lambs coming into Autumn, following some previously quieter trading weeks. With all sections of prime lambs either pushing the 300p/kg mark or exceeding with a number of pens of quality lambs on show. With this week topped by a pen of lambs at 313p/kg from E Brown & S Suddaby purchased by Mr S Voase of A Voase & A Jones, Preston. In the breeding section, a Texel Ram from GL Riby & Son really doing the business, topping at £285.

Standards to 297p/kg and £116.
Mediums to 313p/kg and £141, average 303.1p/kg.
Heavies to 310p/kg and £153, average 298.9p/kg.
Overweight to 289p/kg and £165.
SQQ 302.12p/kg.
Cull Sheep to £202, average £160.82.
Feeding Ewes £100, average £84.14.
Store Lambs to £118, average £99.33.

CATTLE
A Slightly lighter show of cattle this week, with drilling in full flow, but a good show of yearling dairy bred sorts about from a handful of vendors. Calves a better trade than a fortnight ago, with a couple of returning buyers boosting demand.

British Blue Steers to £1,600, average £1,456.
Aberdeen Angus Steers to £1,300, average £1,300.
Flekvieh Steer to £1,300.
