Forward – 337 head of stock including 4 Calves, 237 Sheep and 96 Pigs.
PIGS
A good run of heavy gilts forward for sale this week, ranging from150-200kg, the lighter end all selling for in excess of 100p/kg. Alongside this was strong entry of cull sows from many different vendors, the best sow weighing 388kg from DA & C Buckton selling for 56p/kg.
Heavy Gilts to 108p/kg and £162.80, average 85.3p/kg.
Cull Boars to 45p/kg and £167.40, average 44.5p/kg.
Cull Sows to 56p/kg and £217.28, average 51.90p/kg.
SHEEP
A good show of lambs forward met with a competitive trade, topping the market this week were C & L Whitehead with their pen of 44kg lambs achieving £169. A mixed bag amongst the cull ewes with many feeding types and rare breeds on offer. The best from FWO Richardson selling for £152.

Standards to 347p/kg and £134, average 340.5p/kg.
Mediums to 384p/kg and £169, average 357.6p/kg.
Heavies to 363p/kg and £181, average 351.2p/kg.
SQQ 356.2p/kg.

Just calves in this week, all Bull Calves from EW & S Varley, younger sorts than seen in recent weeks.
