With a long standing association with auctions and livestock markets in East Yorkshire and further afield we continue to offer this traditional and competitive approach to selling always intent on maximising value for our clients.

We operate the only remaining livestock market in East Yorkshire from our livestock market at Dunswell between Beverley and Hull selling prime and store stock. With fat and cull sheep and pigs every Monday starting at 10.30am and store cattle, sheep and pigs fortnightly. With 3 experienced auctioneers, mobile office and dedicated office team we can advise you on your sale and will set up, undertake and sell your goods for you after full marketing. If you have a small number of items to sell one of our regular collective sales either monthly at the Cattle Market or one of our 5 sales a year at our sale ground at Winestead will be able to accommodate you. DUNSWELL
FATSTOCK AND FORTNIGHTLY STORE MARKET

Hull Livestock Market – 27th October 2025 – Fatstock & Fortnightly Store Market with Special Suckler Calf Sale

Forward – 169 head of stock including 25 Cattle, 121 Sheep and 23 Pigs.

PIGS
A similar number of pigs forward this week following the trend over the last fortnight. Over supply on the continent still affecting pricing for sows. However, demand remaining from buyers and more can always be sold.

Bacon Pigs to 164p/kg and £162.36, average 164.0p/kg.
Cull Sows to 43.8p/kg and £134.90, average 42.0p/kg.

SHEEP
Another steady showing across sheep & lambs on store market week, with vendors choosing to keep stock with an increase of grass on the ground. Trade remaining around 300p/kg for prime lambs. With the market topped this week by a lovely pen of 45kg lambs from S Wells, Barnetby purchased by Propa Butchers, Roos. Store lambs still showing consistency with market average still around £100/head.

Mediums to 311p/kg and £140, average 303.3p/kg.
Heavies to 304p/kg and £150, average 298p/kg.
Overweight to 297p/kg and £165, average 293.1p/kg
SQQ 303.3p/kg.

Cull Ewes to £162, average £132.82.
Feeding Ewes £97, average £84.67.

Store Lambs to £120, average £99.54.


CATTLE

As is being seen across the country, cattle are still a bit thin on the ground. But a fantastic trade amongst the calves entered with plenty of buyers around the ring. Market topped by a British Blue Bull Calf at £735 from WE Foreman, Brigham. The Store Cattle that followed showing an equally strong trade with an Aderdeen Angus Heifer from H W Colley & Son, Holme on the Wolds, selling for £1,800 and a run of younger dairy bred sorts from J Morris & Son, North Frodingham seeing a tremendous trade.
