Forward – 318 head of stock including 96 Cattle, 103 Sheep and 119 Pigs.
Sows are still a very good trade liveweight, with trade looking up again this week, despite a big show after the bank holiday. A reasonable show of commercial pigs as well and trade holding up throughout for them.
Porkers to 112.0p/kg and £93.52, average 106.8p/kg.
Cutters to 112.0p/kg and £102.48, average 104.6p/kg.
Bacon Pigs to 126.0p/kg and £142.38, average 110.1p/kg.
Heavy Gilts to 92.0p/kg and £135.00, average 77.3p/kg.
Cull Sows to 63.0p/kg and £194.11, average 50.2p/kg.
A bit of all sorts in the sheep market this week, Hoggs continue to go from strength to strength, SQQ today was 298.3p/kg and all in average 293.2p/kg, with half of all lambs over 300p/kg. A cracking trade for Ewes & Lambs as well, topping at £121/life for a lovely pen of Texel Gimmers with month old singles at foot. Cull ewes continue in a rich vein, with more wanted in the next month in the run up to Eid.
Standards to 363.2p/kg and £138, average 323.8p/kg.
Mediums to 339.0p/kg and £147, average 294.3p/kg.
Heavies to 319.1p/kg and £154, average 307.6p/kg.
Over-Weights to 296.2p/kg and £157, average 271.0p/kg.
Cull Ewes to £135, average £112.00.
Ewes with Lambs at foot to £242 for 2 Texel Gimmers with singles and also for a Suffolk X with a pair, average £86.48/life.
Blue de Maine Breeding Rams to £110, average £96.67.
Charollaise Breeding Rams to £100, average £98.
Beltex Aged Breeding Ram to £70.
As has been the norm recently, a very good show of almost 100 cattle today in Hull, with the store market absolutely flying for some wonderful cattle. W J Cawthorne & Son hitting £1,200 eleven times for their annual consignment of Steers, with more Steers & Heifers to follow in a fortnight. A lot of stirks in the store ring as well, and a flying trade for these, hitting prices that you would expect for cattle much older and stronger.

Piemontese Steers to £1,040, average £1,040.
Blonde D’Aquitaine Steers to £950, average £950.
Lincoln Red Steers to £950, average £829.
British Blue Heifers to £965, average £656.

Cows with Calves at foot to £1,320 for a 14 year-old Simmental Cow with an 8 month Simmental Heifer Calf at foot, overall average £1,148/outfit.
Monday’s Market will be going ahead as normal under the following restrictions as advised by the Government and Livestock Auctioneers’ Association:
- A drop and go system will be in place, vendors will not be permitted to enter the market.
- Face coverings must be worn by all customers in the market.
- Social distancing rules must be followed and therefore you should not stand within 2 meters of anyone else, including when stood round the ring and at pens during the sale.
- Anyone entering the market is required to sign a register, providing their name, address and phone number.
- Only 1 person will be allowed in the market office at any one time, in addition to market staff, please queue outside and wait for the office to be empty.
- Please do not attend the market if you are in an at-risk group or have shown any signs of being unwell, for your own safety and that of others.
