Fatstock Market

THE CATTLE MARKET
DUNSWELL
FATSTOCK MARKET

Forward – 159 head of stock including 111 Sheep and 48 Pigs.

PIGS
Similar once again in the sow market, although top of the tree stronger than we’ve seen for a while, selling to 55.5p/kg for a good sow with very little wastage from C N Warkup & Sons, Barmston.

Cutters to 171p/kg and £156.47, average 171.0p/kg.
Heavy Gilts to 113p/kg and £160.46, average 106.4p/kg.

Cull Sows to 55.5p/kg and £165.00, average 47.8p/kg.

SHEEP
The best show of sheep we’ve seen on a fat market for quite some time, and very nice to be able to market them again on any given week, however this could change quickly if BTV restrictions tighten again so please keep in contact if you’re planning on bringing sheep to market, especially on the fat markets. Decent demand for hoggs today, topping at 358p/kg for a pen of three 40.5kg Beltex x Dutch Spotted from Callum Bailey, Cottingham. Mainly feeding type ewes forward, but plenty of trade for those as well.

Prime Hoggs
Mediums to 358p/kg and £155, average 344.5p/kg.
Heavies 348p/kg and £164, average 335.1p/kg.
Over-Weights to 315.1p/kg and £167, average 315.1p/kg.
